Terms of Service

Welcome to Spindl. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Yumiwi LLC (“Spindl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Spindl website and app at spindlmusic.com. By creating an account or using Spindl, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

Spindl is a tool for cataloging and managing personal music collections (vinyl, CDs, and cassettes), including barcode scanning, AI cover recognition, metadata enrichment, value estimates, and related features. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Spindl. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Plans, billing, and AI credits

Free plan. Includes a limited number of records and a small number of AI cover scans at no cost.
Subscription. The Spindl subscription unlocks unlimited records and additional features, billed weekly or yearly as shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
AI-scan credit packs. One-time purchases of AI cover-scan credits. Credits are consumable and non-refundable once used.
Payments. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise, and you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for the plan or credits you select.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; it remains active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
Price changes. We may change prices; we’ll give notice of changes affecting active subscriptions before they take effect.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the data and images you add to Spindl (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having the right to upload any images or information you add.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use Spindl for any unlawful purpose or to infringe others’ rights.
Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
Abuse third-party data sources or exceed reasonable, personal-use levels of automated requests.
Upload malicious code or content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others’ intellectual property.

6. Third-party data, pricing, and links

Record metadata, artwork, and estimated values come from third-party sources such as Discogs and MusicBrainz. Estimated values are informational only, are not appraisals or guarantees, and may be inaccurate or out of date. Some “Buy” links are Amazon affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Spindl available and reliable, but we provide the service “as is” and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spindl is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. You use estimated values and third-party information at your own discretion.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yumiwi LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Spindl and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm Spindl or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends, though some provisions (such as payment obligations and disclaimers) survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice within the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
